Megyn Kelly spoke tonight with a Baltimore police officer who works with all six officers who were criminally charged in the death of Freddie Gray. In an effort to keep him safe, his identity was disguised and voice was masked during The Kelly File interview. At his request, he wanted to be called Mike. [ ]
None of them actually had any knowledge he was injured until they got to the station, Mike stated. You know, Freddie is always one of those types where when you go to arrest him on the streets, he always puts on a show and whatnot. [ ]
Mike remarked that the officers are a great group and that they have hearts of gold.

“The next time you find yourself in a dangerous situation, like a burglar in your house or a stalker following your wife dont even think about calling those cops you hate so much.”
I would not call them anyway, until *after*.
Get my drift?
My heart bleeeeeds. They arrested him because he swallowed the heroin he was trying to sell. They stopped four times to try and calm the thug down.
You get your ass into police training, become a cop and try to deal with all that.
Your posts are frightening.
How dare you say I hate cops because I think bad cops should be tried and jailed or executed. You and others are so eager to support cops right or wrong, that it is pathetic. I grew up with father that was a police officer and nearly all of my parent’s friends were cops. Good cops and bad cops are easy to separate. That I rail against bad cops is what everyone should do. Why are you defending bad cops?
That the popos did not treat him well after he swallowed his 0bama Sta$h is arguably a problem.
Check post 14!
Yep. There are some here on FR who hate the cops more than the rioters.
Of what?
Murder? Protocol infractions, not putting a seat belt on him? Not getting him medical attention quicker?
You could be right, but I think the big question is are they really guilty of intentionally trying to kill or seriously harm Gray?
In fact, I'm not sure any of these people are guilty of anything which would rate prison time. Maybe being fired for not following policy.
They came to a decision to charge these guys really quick. We'll see what evidence they allegedly have.
I look forward to seeing their evidence. But it better be good since Baltimore was looted and burned over it.
Still playing liberal games, eh? Hope you backed off on the anti-Israelism at least.
Prejudging cops as “bad” is not “railing against bad cops”, but makes it sound like one wants to deny the cops due process.
I did not realize they were tried and convicted already...
Uhm, do you even read what you write?
I have never been intentionally rude or insulting to anyone on FreeRepublic, but I have had numerous people do so with me. Why? Or, is that the best you can do? Or, does this make you happy to throw around accusations and insults instead of engaging in meaningful discussion?
Presuming you want more than a crowd of yes people to share and affirm your view of the world, why don't you engage people that might have a different view of conservatism? Again, if you want to discuss topics, please do so without being disrespectful and rude.
Because this is a conservative site dingbat. If we want to hear the left point of view, we would be reading DU.
You also throw the accusation “troll” around a bit too readily, especially for the noob status.
Since multiple Freepers are calling you out over your stances, I think it’s easy to discern who the troll is.
Those in the US who stand with Israel do not “promote Israel over the US”only an antisemite would say that. Do you wish for early zothood?
There are VERY few situations that cannot be made worse by involving the police.
When “Officer Friendly” started referring to the public as civilians rather than as fellow citizens, he assumed a whole different mindset.
In actual fact, a police officer is nothing more, nothing less than a fellow citizen entrusted with the enforcement of the law.
That THEY have forgotten that is not OUR fault. It IS our problem, though, since all of a sudden it has become an “Us vs Them” mindset among the constabulary.
Now that same unfortunate attitude has been brought to the fore by many recent events, and non-uniformed citizens are dying at an accelerated rate, or so it seems.
As for your “when you need one” non-sequitor:
I have “needed” the assistance of a police officer exactly twice in my 54 years, the first time when I was 10 years old. That officer was no help at all, but at least he was polite.
The second time was in my mid-thirties, my house was burgled. That cop acted like I was a serious burden to his day, life and existence. His partner was rolling his eyes from the time they entered my house until they left.
They wouldn’t even look at the list of goods (serial numbers included) I had already documented before their arrival.
Yeah, there’s a reason “copsucker” exists as a pejorative on this forum. Just recounting that last episode got my dander up.
“Need” a cop? Not flipping likely.
Well, thank you judge and jury for your unbiased opinion - even before the facts have been made known. Watch much MSM news reports? If it was up to you, you’d have them doing hard time based on insufficient evidence. Oh, wait - that’s right - you learned all you need to know about this case from NBC.
Is this true? If so, it's damning...
I have not experienced police in that respect. And I’ve lived in municipalities with exceptionally bad leadership.
And what happened in Baltimore was what happens when police are told to stand down. Then they send in the National Guard and impose a curfew.
How do you know these are "murderous cops"? No one has even set foot in a courtroom to try this case. Your posting history is replete with similar comments. These officers may be guilty. They may be innocent. But we have a legal system to decide this. You've had a pretty good run, here, but your posts are stunningly ignorant and laced with DU-style Kool-Aid.
Sorry to include you, Admin, but this individual is pretty much getting on everybody's last nerve.
