When running for office in 2012, President Obama frequently inveighed against "millionaires and billionaires" who don't pay their fair share of taxes.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described socialist arguably to the left of Obama who plans to run for president in 2016, wants to narrow his focus to just billionaires.

To punish billionaires that currently do not pay US taxes. The thieving SOCIALISTS (RATs) believe they have a right to claim a large portion of your personal sweat equity.
They need to be disabused of that notion.

In typical Democrat traditions, Bernie will go after only those billionaires that do not donate to his campaign or his non-profit.

I can remember when the Feds ordered Bell Telephone to break into parts. Now, everything is back as A T & T.

Saw that with penalties and interest it was over $13B. Lots of Luck getting George to pay up. I am glad he has been declared a tax deadbeat while a Democrat is in office. Then the Republican can not be accused of politics when the IRS goes after him in the Cruz administration.
Can you imagine the response if the Republicans ran on a platform of making Soros pay up the taxes he owes? Social Security can be saved from insolvency if only one person - Soros - paid his back taxes!

There has to be *some* taxes. But optimally, those taxes are shared equitably. And are on earnings, not wealth.

Nope, on spending.
How are you supposed to save any money if they take it away from you?

An alternative idea. However, spending is difficult to get a handle on at a greater than retail level.

As far as I know, “end user” is the highest level of purchasing anyway.

A 99% income tax on the entertainment industry, well, I could get behind that, since it would only impact the 1%.

Sanders is no idiot. He is aware that progressives and Koch brothers have common ground on a lot of issues. He is in full pandering grandstanding mode.
