What’s that all about?
I'll go ahead and gather that the pros is saying the arrest was illegal.
My understanding is that the false imprisonment charges are based on the contention that they had no legal cause to arrest him to begin with. The switchblade he supposedly was carrying was reported to be a legal knife after all.

The arrest was unlawful from the start.
Since the officers have said that they observed Gray and another individual doing a drug transaction. When approached, the other individual ran, as did Gray, but the other individual was not caught. I don’t think they will be able to prove false imprisonment.
