A prisoner who shared a ride to jail with Freddie Gray claims the 25-year-old was trying to injure himself inside a police van before he died from unexplained spinal chord injuries, according to a leaked police report.
The report was leaked to the Washington Post under the proviso that the prisoner remains anonymous - raising questions about its accuracy and the favorable light which it shines on the Baltimore police force

If you’re not up to the job go do something else. There are lots of honorable professions out there to choose from. No one is forcing anyone to be a cop.
Tony Stewart died of internal decapitation while wearing all the required safety gear. An unrestrained human body hitting a solid object at 30 mph can certainly sustain lethal injuries.

Yes, he was convicted several times and incarcarated.
When you've got the root question of whether this report of the thrashing around is actually true or fraudulent, you don't put sheer speculation about motive that you have no knowledge of on top of the already questionable story.

But, these Baltimore officers are very honorable. And not a shred of evidence indicates any abuse at all.

Gray suffered a fatal head injury which matched a bolt inside the police van. His head hit the bolt.
I had not heard of that injury before today’s report.
What was the proximate cause? Rapid deceleration is my bet.

Why would you assume that?
The only evidence suggests Gray was attempting to injure himself.
It is not the “only” evidence. It is some evidence.
