AURORA, Colo. A suburban Denver 4-year-old came home from school disappointed, with untouched Oreos and a note from her teacher.
Denver news station KMGH-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1P6770A ) that preschooler Natalee Pearson told her mom Friday that she wasn't allowed to eat the cookies in her lunchbox.

That is wrong on so many levels. But I do have to get myself some. Maybe our local Cornivale carnival will have them.

That is a GREAT story, thanks for sharing.
While it is easy to lampoon their policy on snacks, this is the slippery slope in terms of the general public mandating the policies of private schools.
It is why I'm a little cautious of a voucher program. The student must adhere to the private school's policies... the private school should not adjust to the public school policies.
Good for you! Good for your son. You both stood up to bullies.
Kid opens lunchbox; thinks,"Wow! I've got the best Mom ever!"
I remember when my son was in grade school and some kid had been picking on him for some time and one day bopped my son in the nose. He had told his teacher and recess monitors about the issue prior to getting his nose socked. I told my son that the next time something like that happened to knock the snot out of the kid. Then I called the teacher and told her what I told my son and that he had my full approval so they could either control the other child or there will be consequences. She was kind of shocked and said that as a Christian school she didn’t believe that was the right response. I said I didn’t care what kind of school he attended, but my son was not going to be bullied ever again without retaliating. There was never another incident.
File a complaint for child abuse by the school and get a restraining order against the leftist teacher, the principal, and school board, until they crawl to the child with an apology.
More abusing of children by “educators”. These edunazis should be sued personally and reported to Child Protective Services. Disgusting fascists.
Pearson says Natalee attends the private Children's Academy as a public school student under the state's preschool option program.
I don't think people are reading the article. This is a private school, and the girl is there under a voucher system.
Going to the school board, etc. is pointless. Unless, of course, you're in favor of the public school system mandating the policies of private schools.
Again, I'm not defending the school's policy (which I think is ridiculous), but I'm certainly not signing on to arresting a private school educator for child abuse because the child had to wait till she got home to enjoy her Oreos.
Hell, if Mama is that damn mad, pull the little girl out and send her to public school.
Wouldn’t you love to see those dictators eat those banned cookies through their other orifice? Make me mad enough, and it could be arranged.
Most school board meetings have refreshments, including... wait for it... cookies.
Pick up the tray, tell the board these are an unhealthy choice and how dare they have these on school property, and then leave with the tray.
“Elections, then as now, have consequences!”
Hmmm....according to my senator, Sen Jeff Flake (R), those consequences means he has to approve of anyone Obama wants for anything. It’s tough when only one side is ever willing to fight.

I’d make sure they were nourishing peanut butter or oatmeal cookies.
I DO have my standards.

.
Send her to school the next day with a whole bag of Oreos to share with her friends.
Apparently AB tokeless brownies. Friends has a drug problem.
