I think so. Plus, a flood of federal program money to distribute to the local politicians.

Other cities will be thinking: How can we get one of those profitable riots in our city.

A serious loss of tourism and lots of small businesses that don’t reopen. And who’s going to want to invest in that hell hole now? For as long as Baltimore has a P*SSY ‘deer in the headlights’ female mayor, they can FORGET any kind of economic growth in that city. A DETROIT it will soon be. Another ghetto hell hole run by DemonRats.

It's more complicated than that. I'm wondering if the local pols are useful idiots. (That Baltimore mayor sure qualifies for the idiot part.) These inner city revitalization plans are going on everywhere, to the immense profit of those connected for the construction contracts. One suspects the local pols are generously thanked for the business.

But the cities complicit in the rioting? I doubt it. I suspect every city's leadership must realize that the growth is quite fragile. People will change their mind about inner city living, businesses will move out as quickly as they moved in, and tourists will avoid any city where they fear chaos.

But, yeah, it sure does look like some elements among our masters want to get hold of the real estate and maybe some cheap abandoned property. It sure isn't about a better life for the abandoned class that lives there.
