Christians are getting relegated to the status of untermensch with no end in sight. At what point do they say "Enough"?
Hopefully we're starting to see it...
Even if nobody would canonize King for his personal life as a whole, it’s worth note that he did bring “I Have A Dream” to the fore. So what if it was borrowed (which in fact it was, word for word, from a white preacher decades before). The important thing in the context is that it was asserted.
Let’s not split hairs or indulge in self righteous gotchas over King. Let’s honor what he was most known for and then keep going.
You have an excellent question, will we obey our Heavenly Father?
Well the first thing on the agenda is to verify that what we are dealing with IS our Heavenly Father and not the Counterfeit From Hell who would negate every grace of Christ Jesus on the way.
You’ve looked a whole lot like you are dealing with the latter and calling it the former.
You can’t pull the Law into the picture unless you adopt the WHOLE Law. I didn’t put that in the bible, God did. We DO have to play by His rules even while hating what He hates.
even when military service was involuntary, we still made room for conscientious objectors who did not want to carry weapons. If we can allow people to exempt themselves from defending the countrywhich is the most important responsibility our government haswe can certainly allow people to exempt themselves from performing same-sex wedding ceremonies!

They need to bring the genuine God into their pictures, welcoming Him back into their hearts.
Then they can be fortified against this threat and come out smelling like a rose.
Fighting like the world fights is something for the world. It isn’t something for Christians.
The grace of Christ will win the local scene as well as the eternal one, if we allow it to. If we substitute our own clumsy schemes, it won’t win and the devil will just mow us down forthwith.
Mrs. Billy Graham said the truth the best. God will owe Sodom and Gomorrah an apology if God does not destroy America.
So when are you repenting of wearing mixed fabrics?
You yourself said ALL... don’t be a hypocrite.
He wouldn’t owe anyone squat... the relationship is grace, from start to finish. There are even hints that some souls were saved in Sodom in spite of perishing in physical flames... Jesus said it would rise up and condemn Bethsaida and Corazin.
God Bless them.
If the church in Germany had issued such a declaration in the early thirties, things might have gone differently.
But, alas, it was a blessed few ministers that did, and they ended up getting killed.
yep, souls can and are saved under any and all circumstances ... even destruction
Whacking the protection of marriage laws between a man and a woman will open more cans of snakes than we can possibly imagine right now.
One thing - what keeps gays from doing more kissing and hugging and holding hands right now is that it is not socially acceptable. Guess what we and our children will be witness to if the laws are lifted?
You will be eating at a restaurant with your family and you will be forced to watch the two guys in the next booth going at it. And there will be no law protecting public decency because they will have privileged law on their side.
I was at private lake and there was a woman walking around with nearly all of her buttocks showing. A small group of us parents went to the owner and asked if the offending woman could be asked to cover up her greatly exposed @$$. He agreed since his lake was a family-friendly place. So, he went up to her and asked her to either put something on to cover up or leave the lake. She left after wiggling her @$$ at us.
This marriage law will allow these people to push for more "rights" and I gotta tell you a couple of guys or a couple of gals marrying each other will be the least of our concerns.
Your God or your government... Which will you choose?
I understand that this will be used to try to force churches to marry homosexuals, but I don’t understand how it can be legally justified or successful.
Churches have never been obligated to marry anyone whom they do not believe should be married, for any reason. Many people are married in civil services because they do not meet or do not wish to meet criteria set up by the church. Any minister/pastor/priest can refuse to marry a couple who do not meet the criteria of their church, even if the couple are otherwise legally able to be married. In particular, a divorced, un-anulled Catholic may not remarry in any Catholic church.
So while I predict a great uproar and many flamboyant attempts to force churches to participate in these sham marriages should this turn out badly in the USSC, I don’t see a change in the civil definition of marriage being able to be forced (legitimately) on churches.
Just my 2c

Difference is I burn their property not mine or innocent persons.
Incest, polygamy, and bestiality are already coming out as needing to be considered by the whackjobs on the left.
What bugs me personally is how we’re considered “religious fanatics” for standing up for what is a religious institution. There are times when I seriously question myself and wonder if I am truly what they say I am. Then I realize that I’m taking cues from people who espouse sexual intercourse with members of their own gender.
Absolutely ... every snake of anarchy will take a place of prominence and seek protection under the law. Each evil will seek to be made equal and it shall be named discrimination if all perversions are not granted protection. The cards will fall quickly ...
Dennis Prager has a good analysis in his book “Still the Best Hope”, that we are in a war of world-views: American Judeo-Christian, liberal secular and Islamo-fascist.
The liberal-secular readily line up with Islamo-fascist because it is a non-atheist ally against Judeo-Christian, a way to attack Christianity while saying you’re not anti-god, see, because the Muslims agree with me. And the liberal-secularists do it because they see the Judeo-Christian groups as if they’ll come marching out to roll out a Christian version of the Taliban state. Yet they ignore the true Shariah state that Muslims implement when they take over, which calls for the death of atheists.
