The statement states the "app" quit. . . and the "app. . . crashed". Not ever did it state that the iPad crashed. YOU are the one basing your statements on verbal gymnastics and hearsay evidence from third-hand TWEETS of passengers writing after the fact in 144 character blurbs as opposed to official statement from people who have all the facts from an investigation and who have no ax to grind. Sorry, you lose.
But it also did not state it didn't in fact power down.
Basic logic tells us that an app crashing can manifest in multiple ways including powering down the unit for a restart. Are you claiming that you know for a fact the units did not shutdown? If so provide at least a report that states the units did not in fact do that.
But on the other hand there are reports of the unit powering down. There are NO reports that say in fact that did not happen. There are reports that say the app crashed and that is not proof of your assertion. And that Sparky is fact!
American Airlines: iPad app glitch causes devices to power down, delays dozens of flights
And that would be game set and match Sparky...
Bwah hahahahahahah!
