Do you seriously believe that any company will install any upgrade without fully vetting it on mission critical devices? I won't allow my clients to upgrade for at least a year after a new OS release. As I said iOS 8.3 has been out since October 2014. IF American Airlines deployed it then, they've been flying it for six months without a glitch. If they didn't, they've been testing for six months.

The plane could not fly until the issue was fixed WHY because because the FAA sez so in the rules. No flight docs no flight. Thus the FAA WAS involved they set the rules they said the planes can't fly until the doc oare on the plane and available.

The Sparky moniker doesn't come out till you start with the name calling. And you complaining about it when you where the first to start is about the funniest damn thing I've read in a while.
Bottom line Sparky you are called such because you went there first. ANd now we have even more Ad Hominem Fallacy from you to try and obfuscate that the FAA has approved the use of a Consumer goods device that if they don't work because of an update glitch the planes won't fly till they are fixed OR they have hard copy available on the flight which apparently they don't.
