Another poll out this morning has Cruz way ahead. So right now the polls are meaningless. After the first two debates things will tighten up.

If it comes down to debates it will be Cruz by a mile. He is lightening quick on his feet. Walker's great quality is his backbone. I don't know of any other Gov. who has withstood the onslaught of media and union thugs the way he has.

"Mr. Walker, who has not yet officially declared his candidacy, was the choice of 23 percent of Republicans,...Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 13 percent...former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 12 percent"

Thanks. It would be interesting to see the contemporary political/regulator class cut down to a more appropriate size instead of nominating yet another dishonest blowhard with a bandwagon of government-linked socialists who claim to be taxpayers.

From the recent articles at Salon, I see that they’re raging more than their usual off the charts way (which tells me they know they’re in deep do-do).

I love Cruz for his intellect, his debating skills and his Conservative principles.Walker has done a great job as Gov.of Wisconsin. I would support either one. Rubio, maybe. But no RINOS like Jeb or goofballs like Paul.

Still, I prefer Ted. And there's a long way to go.

IMHO, the perfect ticket has Walker (an accomplished and proven governor) at the top and Cruz as the Veep. That way, Cruz gets the hang of governing for 8 years and then can take the reins in a superbly capable fashion. Then with eight years on his own, I figure that between the two of them (16 years altogether) they should be able to undo all the damage wrought by the RAT party over the last 100+ years.

the Veep’s job is to be President of the Senate. Not much executive experience to be gotten there....just a lot of frustration for a guy like Cruz.....

Officially, it is as you have stated, but in the past it has been POTUS that gives real meaning to the job. You can be utterly marginalized as has been (thank GOD) Joe Biden, Hubert Humphrey, and Walter Mondale. Or you can make it a real Executive Branch mission as GW did with Cheney. Or Reagan did with HW Bush. It's all up to the POTUS and I have a gut feeling that Walker will want to groom Cruz to step into the job, sooner rather than later if some whack-job decides to push the Line of Succession. That's just the way Walker seems to roll.

If the GOP establishment can’t have Bush, they’ll be just fine with Walker. No problem.

IA and NH people couldn’t sleep without sending Jebbie forward. They know TX and FL will coronate his nomination.

That was a straw poll.

I like Cruz for the reasons you state.

I like some things Walker has done too. Who doesn’t on the right side of the isle. Those things were important and he did a great job.

The problem for me was his March 1st interview, where he stated that if illegals pay a fine, a way could be found for them to stay. Then he acts as if his policy has chanced and hes had seen the light on the subject. That’s a lie His policy hasn’t changed.

What this means for me, is that in fact he is a RINO.

Conservatives don’t have to lie. RINOs do.

The guy is playing smoke and mirrors with us, and I can’t sign on to a man that does that.
