Sullivan sponsoring 3 amendments so far (that part got cut off when I copied).
The usual League of RINOs will vote against these amendments to make sure Obama gets exactly what he wants.
These amendments are very important to the individual GOP senators because they can affect how much campaign money can/will be raised from the Jewish Republican Coalition, Zionist Organization of America, or other such groups.
The seizure of the MV MAERSK TIGRIS by Iran should affect the voting.
This act is meant to show legislative weakness over Iran's hold on the executive branch. We vote on anything with a ship being pirated by Iran at the very moment of the votes is a bitch slap.
Depends on the amendments - Congressional pay raises, hiring more pages for the bath house, lobster and arugula lobbyist party platters, personalized toilet paper rollers...
You know... “the peoples’ business”...
Yes it SHOULD, but as I said elsewhere, the RINOs probably have already had surgery that Bruce Jenner is going to have, so it won’t make any difference in the voting.
Please help. Amendments to WHAT?
All of the proposed amendments are designed to strengthen the toothless Corker-Menendez Iran Review Act that came out of Committee 2 weeks ago with a 19-0 vote.
Democrats aren’t offering any amendments because the bill is so weak.
At 4:02pm the Senate started hearing amendments.
First up is Ron Johnson who wants to turn any potential deal into a treaty, requiring a 2/3rds vote to ratify.
Johnson’s amendment is probably the most important one of all of them.
Will be interesting to see what the vote count is on it, as clearly any deal with Iran that lifts all sanctions would be a treaty, despite Zero’s attempts to bypass both the Constitution and Congress.
This article references the Johnson amendment.

The importance of this vote can not be overstated. If it goes down in defeat, not only is a massive blow to the Constitution but the chance of an Israeli-Iranian war goes up.
Senate will vote on Johnson’s amendment at 6:10pm.
60 votes needed to pass.
Vote count on the Johnson amendment was 39 Yes, 57 No.
Israel just got hung out to dry here. If they didn’t know they were alone on Iran before, they certainly know it now!
