Moments ago according to the native Twitter feed of Arabiya, Iranian forces have seized a US cargo ship, which has some 34 American sailors, which they have taken to the port of Bandar Abbas.

The channel said the force had “opened fire” on the US ship, which had 34 US sailors aboard.”

Rueters says it’s the ‘Maersk Tigris’, which a little quick Googling shows to be an 800’+ container ship, flagged to the Marshall Islands.
