10. He wants to rebuild the old Reagan Coalitions
Cruz without argument is a constitutional conservative, unwilling to compromise with progressives if it means government grows even an inch bigger. His plan to win the presidency wont involve shifting towards the mushy middle like previous GOP candidates, but instead reforming the old Reagan Coalition of Evangelicals, Conservatives, Reagan Democrats, and Libertarians to help him get to the White House.
9. He shut down the government and beat Rand Pauls filibuster record
During the fight to defund Obamacare, Cruz pushed his filibuster past the deadline for the government shutdown; while in the process of not only shutting down the Federal government temporarily, he also beat Rand Pauls filibuster record by speaking for twenty-one hours. During his time on the Senate floor, Cruz took time to do Star Wars impersonations, and read from Green Eggs & Ham to his daughter over TV, and also an excerpt from his favorite book, Atlas Shrugged.
8. Defended Hobby Lobby against Obamacares contraception mandate
In his continuous fight against the unconstitutional Affordable Healthcare Act (Obamacare) and for religious liberty, Cruz personally helped Hobby Lobby in court against the Acts mandatory contraception mandate.
7. Cruz attempted to rein in the PATRIOT Act with the USA Freedom Act
Knowing that it would be an uphill battle in order to break the surveillance state empowered by the Patriot Act, Cruz sought to break it down piece by piece by starting out with his USA Freedom Act, which would eliminate the Patriot Acts ability to massively collect meta data from innocent Americans; this was a divider in the GOP, especially since senators such as Rand Paul did not support it.
6. Authored legislation to strengthen interstate firearms sales
Ted helped sponsor during his first term successful legislation in the Senate, which weakened regulation against the interstate sales and transport of firearms, reaffirming his commitment to the 2nd Amendment.
5. Lead the fight against Obamas executive amnesty
Cruz was one of the few lone Republicans to bring awareness to the illegal executive amnesty Obama tried to put in place without the Senates knowledge. Cruz also used this as an opportunity to bring awareness to the overall unconstitutionality of the process of executive orders from the POTUS.
4. Fought state sponsored abortion clinics in Texas
Cruz was successful in defending Texass Rider 8 in Federal court, which ended state funding to abortion clinics; in the process saving lives and tax payer money.
3. Was a leader in the fight against Net Neutrality
Along with Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee, Cruz was one of the first Senators to bring public awareness to the overreach of the FCCs Net Neutrality. Cruz has made it a point to end Net Neutrality and government control of the internet on day one if elected POTUS.
2. Called out Republicans who voted for Loretta Lynchs nomination
While Republicans either voted for Loretta Lynch or stood silent as she became Attorney General, Cruz not only took time to cross examine her harshly during her Senate sub committee confirmation, but also took to the senate floor to criticize Republicans who failed to keep their 2014 midterm promise of stopping Obamas progressive agenda. To be fair though, he also missed the chance to vote against her when he was attending a fundraiser in Texas instead.
1. Praises libertarian icons such as Milton Friedman, F.A Hayek, Ayn Rand, and pledges to destroy the IRS
As a kid, Cruz was enrolled in an afternoon course offered by the Free Enterprise Education Center, where he was educated in free market and laissez-fair theory; The reading lists ranged from Road to Serfdom to Wealth of Nations. His commitment to free market principles was evident during his presidential campaign announcement, where he pledged to destroy the IRS for good.
AND the libertarians said.. “PASS THE BLUNT”...
groovey man..
stagnant wages, riots, liberties being crushed, lots of good reasons for libertarians to vote Cruz.
He is an excellent candidate. Outside if military experience, though I think he understands how the military thinks, he has everything needed to become President.
You go back a long way on the board and are due respect. I am not a constitutional scholar and don’t have an informed reply. But I love Cruz
Neither was Hayes and Obama. At least Cruz might repair the country.
After he is elected, you will still be beating a dead horse.
Is Ted Cruz a natural-born citizen eligible to serve as president? [Yes! And I support him! JimRob]

Cruz is naturally born and is eligible.
Sorry, I meant Arthur, not Hayes.
Then vote for Bush or Hilary.
Dang, that’s a great list of common ground with conservatives!
Bullcrap.
prove it.
What a crock, they are most certainly.
Go Cruz, more than qualified to be president.
Walk on home boy.
Are you really that ignorant? So everyone who is a Libertarian does drugs? I get it.
Not everyone...
