No, you obviously are clueless about the preferred method of dealing with feral cats.
First of all, there is no substantiating information that this cat was feral and could very well have been someone's pet.......but I digress.
The preferred method in dealing with FERAL cats is now TNR........Trap, Neuter and Release and is the method recommended by virtually every rescue agency and veterinary clinic throughout the country......
