Yep, I was yellinf, because you seem to want to equate your own animals that you are taking care of to someone else who turns their animal loose to roam where ever it wants to and then asking me if you should shoot your own cats. Ridiculous.

I would like to know what kind of pest and weed control you use that works so well. I’m sure you recognize how expensive it is to treat that much property. That someone else has no regard for my private property by allowing their animals to roam is bothersome. That someone doesn’t think I should be allowed to maintain my private property as I see fit is beyond bothersome.

I was saying how it looks to those of a different mindset here where cats are concerned, while trying to be polite. We just are just more easygoing here in dealing with the loose animal issues, maybe because some of those issues can weigh over 1000 pounds...

The insect control stuff is made by Green Light company-they make a lot of bio-safe stuff-I buy it at the ranch store, but I know they have at True Value hardware stores and Tractor Supply. It is made from plant/herb oils like clove, thyme and oregano, and is very concentrated-I wear one of the masks I wear at work to paint if I’m spraying it, and I’d advise you wear one when spraying the stuff.

After it dries, it keeps smelling good for days-the price is comparable to the poison stuff, and I think it works better for mosquitos and fleas.

I’m sorry you don’t like cats-they are very loving, clean, quiet pets-but I’ve been around them all my life, along with dogs and livestock animals-we are all different-I do not personally care for small dogs-one of my neighbors has a yorkie that makes me want to scream every time he gets under the ranch gate and barks at my Husky if we are outside, and she thinks he is something to run down and eat...

More than 3 of these acres are natural/untrimmed for possible future livestock use, and the part that is “yard” is only that in the broadest sense, with native trees, plants and grass that almost never need cutting-nothing is a weed but grass burrs and I pull those up by hand. The ornamental vegetation and flowers that grow where you are will not grow at all here-it is too dry, and way too cold in the Winter.

I know Florida is totally different from Texas as to the climate, and you get much more rain than we do-Green Light makes weed control stuff, too-you can probably get it at the same place as the insect yard spray. The organic products are safer for pets, too-my Husky is 16 years old, and I have never, ever used inorganic, toxic pesticides on the yard.
