Oh, well this particular cat might have been adopted, at the expense of another cat, and the hundreds of cats that are in shelters across the country because people can’t be responsible for them and let them wander all over the damn place. What is so difficult about keeping your own animals on your own property? Now, obviously I understand that accidents happen, animals can be escape artists. But it should not be common place to let any “owned” animal just wander anywhere it wants to go. I don’t allow my dogs to wander and poop or do anything else on property that I do not own. I don’t like cats. I don’t hate the either. I don’t want them on my property for a number of reasons listed previously.
I suspect you would not be appreciative of my dogs roaming your property.

See post 221. I don't know why you refuse to think that those people would have picked up the cat themselves.

Well, that’s not imply it’s only cats that overpopulate. Dogs can be an enormous problem, too. Dog chit on the lawn. On the sidewalks. On walking trails. Can be vicious and kill other dogs. Yet, if one of my neighbor’s Beagle is on the front lawn tomorrow morning, I’ll pet him and wish him a good day. Love dogs and cats and have both in my home.

My very own well-mannered Husky still thinks cat crap is dessert-I have my cats’ litter boxes in an alcove reached by a small pet door for that reason. My vet said this is very, very common with dogs-I’m certainly not going to shoot my 3 former shelter cats over it-the pet door was a better solution.

All cats and dogs get fleas from outdoors, especially when there is a wet Spring-that is why there are so many safe, effective flea control products on the market...

I take it you live in a city where people don’t have fenced and gated properties with no trespassing signs-here, you don’t go on other peoples’ property out of respect for them, their large guard dogs, etc. But common courtesy dictates you give them a phone call if you see what might be one of their animals out-I don’t care if it is a horse, goat dog or cat-if you shoot or otherwise hurt it instead, it will not go well at all for you by suppertime, when everyone finds out...
