Yep. I remember her to admitting to have baited a leg trap with tuna. Leg traps tend to crush the bones of the animal trapped in them.
For the crazy posters rationalizing the good deeds of this vet.

I don’t think we can say from that photo that the right rear leg is missing. It could be there, but either way, so what?

This vet could have killed the cat in many ways but chose to torture it. It took an arrow through the head. Never knew what hit it.

If you want to stay healthy, stay away from the doctor...
...and these days I would venture to say if you want to avoid a SWAT raid on your home to confiscate your guns, ditto the above.

That sure looks to me like a few inches is missing.
She shot the cat with an arrow, and picked it up, what could have caused the leg to be missing?

Then you have no room to complain if someone kills it for being on their property, particularly if, like the one in the story, it has no tags or collar.

So 20-30 yds is close enough?
If she was at her home then the cat was on her property. Its not her job to police other peoples pets.

So your answer to feral cats is to shoot them in the head with an arrow?

Vets humanely put animals down who are suffering as an act of kindness.

Im not saying that women cant be good vets. But, I just have a sick feeling that a lesbian mafia is dominating the field. Again, I hate to say it. But, I feel that way.

How many different vets offices have you scoured the employment rolls to determine this?
I only go to 1 vet’s office.
They are, to a person, fantastic to work with. And mostly young women, both the techs and the vets.

LOL, look at that brush, do you really think she was up to 30 yards away, and yes, you should be able to tell if the cat is a well kept pet, or a feral cat, especially when identifying your target of a neighborhood cat, before you kill it.
This is one of those examples of the pet already having been killed, so the mistake is obvious, the shooter didn’t know what she was shooting, or she did.
