During a Saturday briefing, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said her city government gave those who wished to destroy space to do that, seemingly approving of the rioters who smashed the citys police vehicles in the wake of the death of Freddie Gray.

In Kansas City I had to go 6 blocks, facing all points of the compass, to get two blocks from the freeway exit to the hotel. Then, I was chaperoning 18 high school students to the Skills USA Nationals. I wouldn't let them out after dark and in groups of less than 4 during the day. Downtown KC, what a hell hole.
Not a single MSM outlet reported on this incident as it happened - they were genuflecting before Dear Leader at a presser.
We are witnessing government-sanctioned rioting and looting...

It is tough to tell reality from satire these days.
Sadly, this one is not
These white folks were doing their best to make sure the gangsters, looters and rioters in Baltimore had enough space.

I would not allow my team to play the Orioles in Camden Yards if it was up to me.

Correct! And as I posted last night on another thread, If I lived in Baltimore and was White, the sun would not set on my ass in Baltimore. Also, what she did not day ,but, in my opinion, can be strongly implied is that , should you be white and are attacked, and you make any effort to defend yourself, you will be vigorously prosecuted to the full extent of the law. You may have a different opinion.
Amen! My sentiments exactly. I just had not got around to posting it. They wanted her, they got her. Let them enjoy her.
will they now ‘give checks’ to the business owners whose property was allowed to be destroyed?
Rather, those businesses will leave.
In one of them (I think the Middle) is a great Momenty were a Guy catching an Object thrown right at him and then throws it right back at a Protester and hits them. They get angry and go after him but he stands his ground.

with all the surveillance in that area, they should have pictures of everyone involved, their cars, and where they went.
actual police work would be investigating all that now.
and when they found the people came from out of state... they’d chase it down with the feds until they had all identities.
then press charges on EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE RIOTERS
why do the rest of us follow the law if they don’t?
is the lesson... bring enough people and the law doesn’t apply?
That area the riots took place in looks like a nice area. Around the Orioles stadium it looks like the Kansas City Power and Light District.
That is why people were fighting back.
“Giving space to destroy” creates a power vacuum.
Do not underestimate the severity of how a power vacuum gets filled.
Here’s an analysis of a small & simple anecdote/example: https://what-if.xkcd.com/6/
If official policy is now total governmental withdraw, the fight for control will be utterly fierce.
Any bets on how long before she resigns?

Wonder who the guy was making sense and saying this ain’t got nuthin to do with Freddy Grey or black power.
First video stops halfway thru showing one dramatic frame for the rest of the clip.
Second video includes action shot of aforementioned one dramatic frame.
Third video is gone.
Dang, that’s serious stuff. Any indication of how widespread it was? I’m trying to reconcile these assorted riots with the apparently rather small area they occur in, and trying to deduce how such riots could crop up in my areas.
This Mayor should be impeached—all businesses should abandon the City—If you were attacked—time to clear out.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake - everything bad about being a Democrat without any of the offsetting sociopathic charm.
