My dear beloved GAY brother who preached to me about Consevatism was not the only I ever met.
My brother did not believe in gay marriage. He though marriage is between a man and a woman!
I miss my brother dearly. Not swishy, dressed very conservatively ... no one knew he was gay to look at him.. Very smart, concentrated on his business and studies.
There are a number of gays who are not like the screaming ninnies we read about or see on tv. I saw a brief interview with one who said he wished the radicals would just go away. He said, being gay did not make him special or entitled to special rights or privileges. He felt that all this nonsense just made life harder for him and others who just wanted to live their lives and be left alone.
My friend, the gay stage manager, is very conservative. He used to lock me in dressing rooms to rant about the libs in the wardrobe department. Dear friend who gave a kidney to his very ill dad.
I think the confusion is on the word “gay.” Gay is a lifestyle choice. Homosexual is somebody attracted to the same sex. The difference is gay also means communist (progressive, liberal, etc.) You can be a conservative homosexual. But you can’t, by definition, be a conservative gay.
I worked with one guy like that except it was an open secret.
Never any problems. I thought he was head and shoulders above the worthless redneck loudmouth and the token idiot in charge I was stuck with in most respects.
Mr. M and I have two such friends (oddly they don’t know each other and live on opposite sides of the country). Both social conservatives re abortion and marriage and fiscal conservatives. Both hate the O.
Bingo. About 1.5% of population. As a group they are not stupid. Met a number that could pass as just another WASP. However, a portion of this group is militant and politically active. So it is a minority of a minority that are making all the noise. It smacks of communist subversion.
i watched some of that interview with Jenner last night- i actually competed in the decathlon for years, and i expected to be repulsed by watching the interview...i have to tell you i actually felt bad for the guy..
yeh i agree its a mental disorder (despite the fact abc tried to make it seem like its something natural) and one he tried to hide and get over for years...
My youngest brother was similar; it wasn't until after he was dead at 41 I learned of his affliction. The signs were there if I had looked hard enough; moved to San Francisco in his 20s, never married. But heteronormative me ascribed that to the ready availability of young women needing companionship, because there were so many homosexuals there! Looking through a hetero prism, so to speak.
