So what?!?!?
Just because you support traditional marriage and oppose so-called “gay marriage” doesn’t mean that you “hate” anybody!!!

Cruz is correct that it is an issue that should be left to the states.
Not all gays support gay marriage so it should certainly not be expected that all heteros must support it.

Anyone who refuses to love their child because they’re gay should have their head examined. That has nothing to do with one’s belief on gay marriage. There is no reason to twist the issue together.

The libs are in a tizzy over this. They say this proves Cruz is a hypocrite or something.
Good. Whatever he does to drive the liberals mad just makes me like him all the more.

This reception is “news” only because the gay NYT got to write the word
“gay” umpteen times in the article. Otherwise, Cruz meeting two businessmen would have gone unreported.
Sheesh.

During the gathering, according to two people present, Mr. Cruz said he would not love his daughters any differently if one of them was gay. Dear Senator Cruz: find out who these two indiscreet 'friends' are and tell them to go to hell despite any risk of losing financial backing from them.

I guess some here won’t be voting for Ted Cruz because he met with some gay people.

two prominent gay hoteliers
Another point the libs miss completely, this is free enterprise and the free market system working the way it should. These two men discovered a niche in the hotel/hospitality business and took advantage, not only doing good for themselves, but also creating jobs. Oh, but won't this sort of thing resegregate our "diverse" culture and cause Balkanization? Not necessarily, surely if they're providing a quality service at a reasonable price, they have quite a few straight customers as well.

There are gay people who oppose gay marriage. Opposing it doesn’t mean you hate gay people. The liberals are believing their own lies.

I’m about as conservative as they come, own a small business and would never have a client who was gay unless they were total closet and didn’t flaunt it in my face. When it comes to my grandchildren, should they ever adopt the gay lifestyle, I would still love them and they would be welcome in my home but their partners would not be nor would I recognize or condone their lifestyle choice.
I don’t care what people or family members do in the privacy of their own home just as I don’t want anyone deciding what I should or should not do in the privacy of my own home.
Guess I’m too old to try to understand why anyone is even talking about gay marriage at any level of government. To my mind, it’s morally wrong and I don’t remember reading anything in the Constitution that allows the marriage of two men or two women to each other. How far we have wandered.
