Pope Angers Turkey by Calling Armenian Genocide a Genocide

He said the G word. And Turkey is none too happy. Pope Francis sparked a diplomatic row on Sunday when, as had been widely expected, he called the mass killing of Armenians in World War I, “the first genocide of the 20th century.” The pontiff went even further though, and called on the international community to stop beating around the bush when talking about the slaughter of Armenians a century ago and call it a genocide once and for all. Turkey’s Foreign Ministry summoned the Vatican ambassador in Ankara in protest, reports BBC News. Although Turkey recognizes many Christian Armenians died during battles with Ottoman soldiers that began in 1915, it has long denied the deaths amounted to hundreds of thousands nor that it was a genocide.

Sunday marked the first time the pope had publicly uttered the word “genocide” to describe the massacre although he had also used the word during a private meeting with an Armenian delegation in 2013. The pontiff’s views were hardly a mystery though seeing as though he had already publicly called the killings a genocide when he was still Jorge Bergoglio, archbishop of Buenos Aires. The pope knew his words were going to be closely monitored and he uttered “genocide” less than 100 words into his Mass in the Armenian Catholic rite in St. Peter’s Basilica:

Islam, as a way of life, belief system would seem to be one that is overwhelmingly dysfunctional. There are many examples of this not the least is the eternal internecine conflict that has gone on amidst it's followers from day one. Another illustration of what seems to be a system that espouses a righteous, fair minded way of life is the unremitting attitude of dichotomy in which the way they treat others outside of their religion and how they react to the same accusation towards themselves.

Islam by far, is a harsh, barbaric way of life that has them involved in the worst sorts of practices, traditions that by any other modern society must be deemed primitive, backward, delusional, non-productive and mired in the 7th Century life in which Islam first spawned.

Every year the UN does a report on the state of various areas of the Earth, from First, Second, Third World Countries and of so-called Fourth State Countries so backward any hope of them progressing economically, seems out of the question.

The Arab World, considered part of the Fourth World is one manifested by a population of 250 million people, a 2% literacy rate, no scientific institutions to speak of, and a GNP less the oil they export less than all that of Holland.

It seems all the horror perpetuated by Islam, ISIS has made us quite aware of a religion that calls itself one of peace yet violates every known tenet of civility never really happens the way the West perceives. Islam is a religion steeped in denial or at least the facade of denial.

Islam seems to have mastered the method in which any crimes accused by the West to have been perpetuated by them is magically whitewashed by a deep and utter non-recognition, and an incredibly demonstration of collective sensitivity to anything they are accused of, to the point of being of pathological origin.

Now, we have a long simmering case of an genocide perpetuated along religious lines of Islam having committed The Armenian Genocide but the denial of which is as ironclad as anything history has proven otherwise.

Even Hitler in his rationale and perpetuation of the Holocaust made the statement, who is going to remember thee Armenian Genocide?

Hopefully the Pope will see fit to condemn the brutal Communist regime in Cuba when he visits that country.

I’m Glenn Beck’s biggest critic, but on this he is spot on. That video actually deserves a thread of its own.

Nato never gets the permission to use Nato built facilities in Turkey, they never wanted to back the Kurds in Syria, or participate in fighting Iran or Isis.

WHY IS TURKEY STILL IN NATO?

The pope is right on this one, the muslim inflicted Armenian Holocaust 1915 was a precursor to the Jewish/Others Holocaust, ignoring the plight of Armenians by the world gave credence to the success of ethnic cleansing everywhere.

It is happening again today by muslims all over the middle east, and hardly a whimper.
