If I don’t really own my car then I shouldn’t be able to obtain title to it...What next? Smart homes really aren’t yours?

I "own" a premium smart TV, and two of the three most-used apps disappeared off of it within the last year - one without warning. The content providers and the TV manufacturer couldn't some to terms on licensing, I guess. Boy was I surprised to learn that I didn't have a say in retaining what I paid extra for!

That right there is a violation of your rights to property and they will eventually be sued in class action.

What next? Stuff disappearing off my computer?

Just find an old mini desktop computer with HDMI to hang off it... a wireless kb/glidepad... maybe wireless networking...

You'll never go back. I haven't accessed the smart apps since.

Better to just turn off the smart TV features and use your own Roku, Raspberry Pi running RaspBMC, or the like.
