The culture war that we’re in is all about values, and which ones are going to dominate our society. So far they’ve had incredibly good success because they’ve been much more aggressive in promoting and institutionalizing theirs than we have been in defending ours.

The question we have to ask ourselves is why have they been more successful and what are we going to do about it.

Maybe they've been more successful because there payoff for success is the immediate gratification of more sex, money & power for those that buy in to the hedonistic lifestyle.

On a related note, from the other day discussing homosexual recruitment of adolescent boys by gay black males in the black community and the "down low" story:

A Happy Conservative Black Woman on the Gay Agenda and Black America (Rush Limbaugh show, 4/20)

Didn’t they already have that?

The reason they’re more successful is because they’re much more willing to actively fight for what they want than we are for what we want. They’re activists, we’re passivists.

Or to put it another way, their level of discomfort with the status quo, with traditional morals, is such that it impels them to rise up and protest in the streets, stage sit ins in CEO’s and politicians offices, break windows and set fire on things if necessary to scare enough powerful people to “see” things their ways. We haven’t reached that level of discomfort.

Actually we did... temporarily - when the tea party first rose up. We did take to the streets, caused discomfort for the politicians and bureaucrats, and guess what, IT WORKED. But then we quit doing it while the other side kept at it.

Lesson learned? This war is not won by winning one battle. The struggle is constant.
