Naziisms roots are neither Catholic nor Protestant. Its roots are in mid 1800s race theories especially Darwinism. It is also rooted in post French revolution nationalism. They did not kill Jews because of their religion(because they also killed Catholics and Protestants and atheists who had Jewish blood) but based on race.
