Read the article, the rifle was checked out by Capitol Police and the bolt was removed.
In terms of Washington DC local politics the newly elected mayor Bowser ( stop laughing, it’s true ) is trying to get DC Atty General under her direct control instead it being on the ballot.
Then there’s the curious action by the DC Atty Gen sending the “complaint” to DC PD instead of throwing it into the round file.
