You know they have high powered, high caliber air rifles, maybe it time for a quiet air powered shotgun.

It’s Texas.
If the guy doesn’t own a 12 gauge shot gun he should be required to out of state.

Ether-based starting fluid works the best.

Why would you ask the police to stop it?

Double 00 buckshot, 12 gauge.

Wonder if there’s a way of jamming the radio control signal.
To: cymbeline
A couple of pellets of #6 shot in the receiver will most likely “jam” a small drone’s radio signal...

Yes.
Also, you can have fun with a cannibalized magnetron.

Seriously, though, I’m sure there is a way - And if the “drone” is in reality just one of those RC quad-copters it probably would not be too expensive to get the equipment to do it either.

[[Why would you ask the police to stop it?]]
You SHOULD be able to ask them to stop these type invasions to your privacy, not to mention the fact that these things are causing massive safety concerns flying so close to people and homes- You SHOU*LD be allowed to ask the police to stop it so that you yourself don’t face lawsuits- but apparently the police aren’t allowed to stop it? The potential for misuse by these things is massive- Divorced spouses using them to intimidate, harass, stalk, spy on etc- their ex- used by criminals and worse-, used by whoever- this should NOT be allowed to happen- the potential for accidental injury, intentional crime, and worse, is just too great a risk

Why?
If it is flying around over your private property (close enough to be a danger) and you do not want it there then destroy it yourself.
Why involve the police?

...this should NOT be allowed to happen- the potential for accidental injury, intentional crime, and worse, is just too great a risk... Who is responsible for your safety and the safety of your family, friends and invited guests on your property?

Is there some airspace around one's home one can shoot down a drone? The problem would be ordinances forbidding the discharge of firearms near other homes, a safety measure. A compressed air "drone cannon" that shoots a weighted net (visualize the circular throw nets used to catch bait) about a hundred feet might be useful but non-hazardous to neighbors...

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)
