He must have had one of those semi-auto high capacity ASSAULT cross bows.

sort of but its a hard slog. you need monitored alarms, and i think the recent change is the gun split across multiple safes..but dont quote me on that. they have made it so uncomfortable a lot of people just gave up or are giving up. so my polite suggestion to my fellow freepers...dont budge one inch on guns...they will simply use that to march to the next step....but i guess ye guys know that...

the good news is next year the family is heading stateside on holidays and first up ...you guessed it...a range....LOL

NYP is ignoring its stylebook. He is not a teen. He’s Spanish.

When the teen was chastised by his teacher for not being on time, the boy snapped — pulling out the crossbow and firing it at her head..

"pulling out the crossbow" from WHERE?

Those things are not easy to conceal.

In other major news, a dog stepped on a nail and hurt his paw in Papua New Guinea. Film at 11!

***maybe he built one of those high cap makeshift arrow clips***

Like those in the movie RED CLIFF II.

I remember when crossbow hunting was banned in the USA. Then some old boy over at Huntsville, Arkansas started lobbying for a short season, and got it. I can’t remember his name although he wrote some articles for BOW AND ARROW magazine.
Even then, you could not find a good crossbow on the market, just target varieties and toys.

I got my first doubled cross bow back in 1956 at a convenience store in Farmington NM. It was plastic, had two bows on it, and shot two short suction cupped arrows, over and under.
I made one in High School SHOP. (Remember shop classes?) and found they weren’t all they were made out to be.

Now the only one I have is one I picked up in Thailand back in 1969.

Maybe it was a fully automatic assault crossbow with a 30 bolt “clip”...

LOL! Do they even have “shop class” anymore? I remember having to go down to Albuquerque High on Central Ave to go to auto shop. Good times. Decent shop too.

***When I was in school, fighting back was an option. Not a popular one with the school administration,***

Didn’t work that way when I was in school! Bully picks on a weak kid, kid fights back. Teacher sees it and the bully claims the kid started it. Kid gets whipped, and when he gets home, the parents already know about and give the kid another thrashing. Bully then skates.

a wooden tablespoon

Tablespoons are large enough to be considered deadly weapons. Teaspoons are permitted with the right license, a 40-day waiting period, background check, and payment of a $200 bond. The spoon must not be on the ATF's list of "assault tableware," meaning that it cannot be black, cannot accept a quantity of food to exceed 25 grams, cannot have a bayonet lug, suppressor, grenade launcher, or other accessory that might render it more lethal.

Check local firearms laws before ordering.

[[He just whipped out a makeshift crossbow? WTH?]]

It was ‘hidden’ in a large suitcase

[[But, apparently since he’s “underage” he won’t be charged. WHAT!]]

He must have been either an illegal alien or hispanic

Well, it did occur in Spain. I should have noted that in the header. So, I guess those under 13 in Spain can murder whoever they want and they won’t be charged. WHAT?

The Chinese had them over 1,500 years ago...

Nope. Spain. And since the kid is underage and won’t be charged, I guess it’s no harm, no foul. Or lots of harm, no foul. Can’t make this stuff up. Of course the Spanish LEO and courts may want to take a look at this after this occurrence.
