Good morning Austin:
I had a story in Saturdays paper on the startling fact that, with Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, two of the first three announced candidates for the Republican presidential nomination for president are Hispanic.
In other words, if America elects its first Latino president in 2016, that president would almost certainly be a Republican.
Meanwhile, on the Democratic side, at best there could be a Hispanic candidate for vice president, with most of the speculation concentrated on Julián Castro, the former San Antonio mayor who is now serving as President Obamas secretary of housing and urban development.
From that story:
No sooner had Hillary Clinton tweeted her intention last Sunday to seek the presidency than the speculation began that Julián Castro bright, young and Hispanic might be her ideal running mate in 2016.
Julián Castro: Is He The Perfect Latino VP For Hillary Clinton? asked the Los Angeles Times in its headline.
Or, as the Christian Science Monitor put the question, Hillary Clinton-Julián Castro 2016: an already inevitable Democratic ticket?
The instant hype about Clinton-Castro was soon eclipsed by Floridas U.S. Sen. Marco Rubios announcement Monday in Miami that he was running for president, becoming the third big-name Republican to formally declare his candidacy and the second GOP Hispanic, along with fellow Cuban-American U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, to join the race.
Suddenly, the party with the supposed Hispanic problem had two rising young Hispanic stars in the presidential race. And, if nothing else, the Cruz and Rubio candidacies highlight the Democrats Hispanic problem they have no Hispanic candidates playing at that level.
What does that say? In my mind it says that the Republican Party is the party of opportunity for Latinos....

It’s time we nixed the nationalities and start asking, “Who is the most American?”
The answer? TED CRUZ 2016
Senior Buuush!
I like Senator Rand Paul!! He is so awesome. I’ll take Cruz ,if he is illegible, for the first hispanic VP!!
I don't intend to let the GOP-E to choose the primary winner this time.
He'd make a great President.

I have serious reservations about Rand Paul’s foreign policy. Ted Cruz understands the need to protect our border, to protect America.
Yes, he would,if all goes well in the courts. Need to get that resolved NOW!! Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.I’m jus sayin.
I am putting my money and my time into Cruz for president. And if anyone doesn't like it, they can pound sand.
If Cruz isn't at the top of the ticket, I won't vote for them in the primary.
I know what I'm committed to. And it ain't a GOP liberal.
I'm a conservative not a republican.
Cruz or lose.

I respect your concern if you listen to msm. Here is his foreign policy is a nut shell. Attack our soil and we will destroy you. We don’t do anymore preemption debacles or foreign intervention. ZERO TOLERANCE. No money no blood.
I like that spirit. Good luck.
Yeah yeah yeah....we all know.
What is Rand Paul’s position on Israel?
As a Christian we have a duty to protect Israel, which is the only democracy in the Middle East and a proven ally.
TED CRUZ to do what is necessary to defend Israel.
That's why, for the first time ever, I'm sending a politician money.
FR I send money to every quarter, but this is a first for a politician.
Cruz or lose!

The “Chosen” people are believers in Jesus as the Son of God. Everything changed at the Cross. That is why there is no tithing in the New Testament. You can actually throw your Old Testament away.
Habla ingles o vete a la chingada!
I’ll keep mine thanks. It’s less midrashic.
If we base the comparison on who speaks the best Spanish, it’s Marco Rubio. I listened to his interview with Ramos and unlike most 2nd generation Hispanics he speaks Spanish better than many natives. Moreover, he sounds more like a scholarly Spanish speaker than the street Spanish heard in most places.
Rubio speaks ENGLISH better than most people. Hes better than Obama as a stump speaker. Obama is fluent with a script when he is talking about himself.
[You can actually throw your Old Testament away.]
I don’t anything in God’s Word about throwing away the Old Testament. Have you ever read it?
2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
