The 'proxy' war is escalating very rapidly. As AP reports, Navy officials confirm that the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt is headed to Yemeni waters to intercept an Iranian weapons shipments. Just as we warned 10 days ago, the probability of a major escalation over the latest proxy Middle Eastern civil war escalated substantially when Iran parked two warships off the Yemeni coast.

Stranded Americans fend for themselves in war-torn Yemen

...The State Department said it is too risky to conduct an evacuation of citizens from the area.
“We have to make a decision based on the security situation and what is feasible to do,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said earlier this month. “And given the situation in Yemen is quite dangerous and unpredictable, doing something like sending in military assets even for an evacuation could put U.S. citizen lives at greater risk.”
How much you want to bet there are anti ship missiles on one of those Iranian ships, and they are waiting for the group to get close?
They may have to bring out the big guns for this one.
Yes... I mean Jackson Browne.
If it is, believe me I’ll get down on my hands and knees with a microscope and a pair of tweezers until I have amassed a sufficient amount of micro-guilt to excuse my misconduct. Shouldn’t take long, I reckon.
Yup they tried that crap in the "Tanker War" and got two loads of cluster munitions from a couple of A-6's
Ruined their whole @#$%ing Day !!!!!!!
Kind of interesting that AFTER our president says that this nuclear agreement is a good thing we have to send our Navy to intercept weapon shipments from IRAN.
The Pentagon is sending a U.S. aircraft carrier to waters around Yemen following Iran’s deployment of seven to nine ships to the region, some carrying weapons.
The U.S. on Sunday sent the USS Theodore Roosevelt and the USS Normandy, a guided-missile cruiser, to the Gulf of Aden, said Pentagon spokesman Army Col. Steve Warren on Monday.
The Pentagon said the U.S. ships are not going to the region to intercept the Iranian ships headed to Yemen.
“Certainly it’s going there because of Yemeni instability, but it’s not going there to intercept any ships,” said Warren.
He said the Roosevelt was in the Persian Gulf, but was sent through the Strait of Hormuz into the Gulf of Aden to conduct “maritime security operations,” according to Warren.
The deployment comes after The Hill reported on Friday that Iran was sending an armada of seven to nine ships some carrying arms potentially to resupply Houthi rebels in Yemen.
In regards to the convoy, Warren said, “We’re keeping a very close eye on maritime activities in that region.”

We already have warships there. They go there all the time. They are filled with Marines who do things that don’t make it into the news.
I believe one of these ships my hubs had command of.....
May God bless those on board, keep them safe and give them courage in the face of adversity....
You go girl. This is like being forced to watch pro basketball. I don’t care who wins— I just want to leave.
The USN knows.
Well... let’s hope so.
What information gets passed along? In this time I sometimes wonder.
For Americans there is always enough money for another war in some far off place, but never enough political stamina to secure our own borders and save us billions.
The reality is that the Saudis and Sunnis created AQ and they did 9-11, and somehow our current absurd policies are about giving them whatever they want, while we go after the Shiites. AQ and the Iraq Sunnis killed how many American GIs? We have a allowed a corrupt manipulated govt and a media of propaganda to work against the USA interest.
Let’s hope someone else then Imama is swinging it or we may just lose a carrier group
