You’ve really got to question the sanity of this.
The Democrat party already gets 90% of the Black vote.
Imagine the amount of money we’re talking about, and for what?
If they could get even 5% more votes from one tenth of the populace, how much would each of those votes have cost, and what would the overall benefit be?
If you gain 5% from the Black community, you lose 20% from the larger White community.
This is a fools idea of common sense. Admittedly, that never stopped the Democrats before.
If Obama is really going to make this an issue in 2016, the point will be to whip up emotions among African American voters so they will be motivated to vote for the Democrats. Actually getting the money is out of the question. Even the Radical Republicans when they had a veto-proof majority when Andrew Johnson was President did not try to implement the “forty acres and a mule” idea, and any Congress with a Republican majority, even with milquetoast leadership as we have now, is not going to vote to fund reparations.
