Timothy McVeigh was sentenced to die on June 13, 1997 and died by lethal injection just shy of four years later on June 11, 2001.

There's no reason Dzhokhar Tsarnaev can't be fast-tracked to the death chamber as well. The parents should be arguing that he be killed, and as quickly as possible.

McVeigh wasn't fast-tracked. He fast-tracked himself. Whatever anyone might say about him, he took his medicine like a man:

McVeigh dropped his remaining appeals, saying that he would rather die than spend the rest of his life in prison.

So we should just cater to someone who killed that many people and give them what they want?

Not quite. McVeigh had special conditions he wanted to be met for his execution. He "dropped" his appeal when it became clear that concerning his best opportunity the Supreme Court would not grant cert, and that his three-ring circus execution was not going to be granted, either.

Timothy McVeigh was a despicable coward. Resigning himself to a fate nobody doubts he deserved and would have gotten is hardly "taking it like a man."

There was absolutely nothing manly about Coward McVeigh. He lost that by knowingly blowing up a day care facility. He was too much a coward to face his own evil, so in effect he committed suicide.
