Supreme Summoning: Chief Justice John Roberts Called For Jury Duty By John Verhovek and Ariane de Vogue, CNN April 16, 2015
Washington (CNN)Most Americans often seek ways to avoid jury duty. But one potential juror in Maryland on Wednesday morning had quite the excuse.
Chief Justice John Roberts was seen at a Montgomery County courthouse performing his civic duty as a prospective juror for a car crash case, according to a report first published by The Washington Post.
Although Roberts ultimately was not chosen to serve on a jury, that's probably just as well, because oral arguments before the Supreme Court are scheduled to last through April 29.
The Post reported that Roberts answered questions regarding his relatives, and told the local court that his sister is a nurse in Indiana and his brother-in-law is with the Indiana State Police

Tell them John, tell the courts that you are way too busy and too popular to just sit in a Jury Pool like some potted plant.
Clearly Chief Justice Roberts places a value on civic duty.
He’s a judge. He can mail in his vote (”guilty”, every time).
So how many jurors will agree with him because of who he is? Or worse, disagree with him because of who he is?
Be sure to tell them that you’re easily intimidated, John. That’ll save everyone a lot of time during jury selection.
What if the jurors lost their jobs or had their hours cut back because of obamacare.... !
Because the case involves arguing points in the English language which he sadly does not seem to understand.
Back in law school, I interned with a judge in D.C. who HATED having lawyers or other judges on his juries (DC, not surprisingly, has the highest concentration of lawyers per capita in the country).
Poor slob on trial.
I’m not sure he has a clear enough mind to sit on a jury.
he will not be chosen.
