MILWAUKEE A new Marquette University Law School poll finds Hillary Clinton leading a possible presidential matchup against Gov. Scott Walker.
However, Walker leads Republicans in the presidential race. Forty percent support a Walker run while 10 percent favor Rand Paul, 8 percent for Jeb Bush, and 6 percent each for Chris Christie and Ted Cruz.
The poll finds that among Wisconsin voters, Clinton leads Walker 52 percent to 40 percent.
The poll also showed that Walker's approval rating in the state has slipped. The most recent poll showed a 41 percent approval rating, compared to 49 percent in October.
Looking at a possible 2016 Senate race, former Sen. Russ Feingold leads Sen. Ron Johnson 54 percent to 38 percent.
The poll interviewed 803 registered voters between April 7-10.
I’ll bet they did this “poll” while they were on spring break.
Walker is THE candidate...we don't need another 1 term senator as President, we need a governor who has handled congresscritters, budgets, state police, state education systems, state taxation, state national guard units, has actually run things and made decisions.
Senators are people who vote yes or no on things that other people have done.
Walker I’m afraid is the establishment default guy. He just has not got the charisma that is needed to win the general election. Walker is not a bad guy but he’s no Reagan. I just cannot get excited about him and it looks like I’m not alone. Ted Cruz is our best hope for 2016.
Adversity will test the mettle of a man. I have great faith in Ted Cruz.

And Ron Johnson hasn’t kept his promises. He barely arrived in Washington DC and he started hanging around with the wrong crowd. He very frequently votes with the dems and McCain and his ilk. He is a poor representative of a conservative. He has distanced himself from the tea party crowd and managed to get himself some nice committee appointments.
If Feingold beats him, and I believe he will, Ron Johnson has no one to blame but himself. I certainly wouldn’t vote for him again.
If Walker wins in 2016 WI will go back over to the dark side.
“Senators are people who vote yes or no on things that other people have done.”
Are you speaking generally or about a specific senator?
What you said is not true. Have you actually looked into Ted Cruz’s bio? He had accomplished many things before he was even a senator. He has argued before the SC and won. He was instrumental in George Bush’s becoming POTUS.
“Governors are just people who sign bills into law that other people have passed.” If it wasn’t for a repub majority in the state’s two houses Walker would have been unable to accomplish much.
Making blanket statements about senators being better presidents than governors or vice versa is not very helpful. We have had POTUS that came from both backgrounds and there were good and bad in both. It is like comparing apples to oranges.
Let’s look at the candidate’s accomplishments and their policies honestly.
Any poll that isn’t exclusively likely voters is a junk poll. Who cares what stay-at-home voters think?
If Scott Walker is the GOPe candidate then it’s a massive victory for conservatives. He’s more conservative than Reagan was. Under Walker we’ll see consolidation and elimination of federal departments.
If a Republican Congress will stand for it...
There’s always going to be an opposition. The fact is that all those trillions government spends go to someone.
You are right on booth points - but I’d rather keep Johnson in place than have Foolsgold again! Blech!
The wrath of the Leftists in this state will know no limits if they regain power, again. Hopefully, we can hold on to the House and the Assembly, should Tom Barrett finally gain the Governorship. *SHUDDER*
He’s done such a STELLAR job straightening out Milwaukeestan. Not!
That is correct. This polls lies to try and give and edge to the democrats and then at the last minute publishes the real results so that they don't look bad. I know it has happened in the last 2 Walker elections for sure.
