But actually the argument here is whether this Iran deal is a treaty or an executive agreement

Sorry, ma'am, but when you have a negotiated, signed, multi-nation pact, then you don't have a 'deal'. You have a treaty.

They're just playing fast and loose with the word 'treaty'...as if not using that word means it isn't a treaty.

I’m not arguing that its not a treaty but Obama is. He’s trying to call this an executive agreement. Its an end run around the Senate. But like I said the correct remedy here is impeachment.

” We urge you to call your Senators TODAY (the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) and demand that they oppose the Corker bill – tell your Senators the Corker bill is worse than no bill at all and is a betrayal of the Senate’s constitutional role in approving treaties, a betrayal of America’s interests in the face of the existential threat of a nuclear armed Islamic Republic of Iran, and a betrayal of all peoples across the globe who share the values of freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and freedom of speech.”

Absolutely - doing nothing is 1000 times better than setting this precedent.

Just think: our government is cracking down on grandmothers who refuse to bake cakes for Gay wedding as it greenlights Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

What an upside down world we live in.

We already have a constitution that spells things out. The republicans “leaders” must be making money to sell out Israel and the United States.

Used to be, commentators tried to find a 'god' who was either called or associated with 'the desire of women'. I've seen some asking lately if that could mean "homosexual". In the Young's Literal I can see it as a possibility. In any case, that part is sandwiched inside parts about 'gods'.

YLT Dan 11:37 And unto the God of his fathers he doth not attend, nor to the desire of women, yea, to any god he doth not attend, for against all he magnifieth himself.

KJV Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

“It is evidence of planning. This is a huge misdirection campaign being run against the American people.”

Yes, agree.

From reading over many years I believe firmly it has to do with various known non governmental organizations working toward One World governance. THE reason we don’t see anything other than defense of the U.N. from our (manipulated) “elected representation”. The U.S.A., our constitution, our penchant for liberty IS the major obstacle that blocks the pathway to their goals. Our constitution must be nullified for them to succeed, and that’s what the Obama Administration is about.

We can elect a Ted Cruz, but will a Ted Cruz succeed with a Congress no matter the alleged party working against him?

It doesn't have anything to do with being liberal or conservative.

Corker is a foreign policy realist and he gets his Israeli campaign money from J Street. Feinstein is also a realist and is funded by J Street.

On the other hand, the NeoCon republicans and liberal interventionist democrats like Menendez, Booker, Shumer, & Gillibrand are getting large sums from AIPAC. Also the most hawkish on this issue is Tom Cotton who got huge sums from AIPAC for his campaign last year.

Think back to last week when Jeb Bush met with the very prominent Realist, James Baker, at the J Street meeting. Also recall that Ted Cruz pulled in the Zionista Robert Mercer as a huge campaign doner, and that Cruz attended the Zionist Organization of America meeting last Nov.

In this case it is liberal interventionist democrats and NeoCon republicans versus the Realists(R & D)

It is also about AIPAC versus J Street.

I haven’t heard of a single one yet.

And you WON'T. It a ONE PART system running a non-stop version of Kabuki theater.

America, as we knew it, is fading into the sunset.

Saw Corker for a second on Fox news before turning the channel and he looks like that evil politician on the British version of House of Cards...

Someone points out above that Corker received the grade of “F” from a conservative rating group. He might have started out OK when elected to the senate, but he sold out. He is now an all-out senator for hire.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but while the US Constitution specifies that no treaty is valid unless AGREED TO by a 2/3 majority of the Senate, I think this bill says that whatever Obama wants is OK unless 2/3 of the Senate votes AGAINST it!! Corker has not just REPEALED, he has REVERSED the Constitution!

No, Freepers, Bob Corker is not “traitor”. I think he’s doing the best he can, faced with a lawless president and enough Rat collaborators in the Senate to sustain a veto and to resist conviction after an impeachment.

The best he can do is to hatch a scheme that violates the Senate power to advise and consent on treaties?

Did he really sell out? His campaign ads showed him to be a real squish politically.
