SpaceX is going to try to launch its CRS-6 International Space Station resupply mission again today at 4:10 PM ET, after having to scrub the launch yesterday due to adverse weather conditions. Weather today looks mostly favorable, with NASA reporting a 60 percent chance of acceptable conditions for the target window at the Cape Canaveral launch site in Florida. The launch today, if it goes off, will feature the Falcon 9 rocket transporting the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft to orbit, where it will rendezvous with the ISS to delivery a cargo of supplies (including an Arkyd 3 satellite). For SpaceX, it also represents a second chance to attempt recovery of the reusable first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket, using their autonomous drone barge landing platform. Well have updates as they come in, and will keep our fingers crossed that weather conditions hold out for the launch this afternoon
Not successful, according to Tweet by Musk.
Successful 1st stage burn.
Successful 2nd stage burn.
Successful capsule separation.
At least it looked that way to me.
Thank you all for the update. D-mn! I was hoping they would achieve the soft recovery of the 1st stage.
Back to the drawing board.
Looks like it’s coming down at an angle like the first one that hit the ship and crashed.
Guess they're practicing "Continuous Measurable Improvement" ...
Maybe the third time will be the charm.
They said it landed fine but it’s lateral velocity caused it to tip over.
Very close right on the ‘X’. Need to come down more vertically, I’d think.
That usually happens to me after too much Jagermeister...
I was hoping this time would be the charm.
They need to put some old mattresses down on the ship for padding.
