NASHVILLE — Before mentioning the National Rifle Association or even firearms at the gun rights group’s annual meeting in Nashville on Friday, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican, asked all the men and women in the audience who serve or have served in the armed forces to stand so they could be properly thanked.

“Freedom. Endowed by our Creator. Defined by our Constitution, but defended each and every day by the men and women who proudly wear the uniform of these United States,” Walker began.

He then asked anyone who is serving or has served in the military to stand and be recognized. Predictably, the audience immediately erupted in applause.

The governor said he carries patches with him every day to remind him of the men and women from the National Guard units in Wisconsin that are still deployed today.

Prior to that, Walker received a standing ovation when he was introduced on stage — and it would be the first of several during the speech that was well-recieved by attendees...

You’re supposed to eat mush - not use it as substitute brains.

Well, there’s a nice second-grade level reply.

And people wonder why the libertarians can’t get more than about 4% in most general elections.

I guess me and the others who noted the idiocy of your post are all the ones with comprehension problems. You remind me of the old Laverne and Shirley show - future shot; Iggy been married 20 times and never had a kid - lament, drat the luck, 20 barren women.

Clean the mush out of your head and get some rest.

Well, enjoy the 4% of the vote that you liberatrians get in just about every election.

I guess you lose so much because you’re so smart.

How in the hell did you surmise that I'm a libertarian from the previous line of posts? Mush in - mush out.

Find a way to focus - you seem to be thrashing about and serve no purpose.

Because you seem to be a big advocate of marijuana usage. Since it appears you are stoned out of your gourd.

Hoss - hate to tell you this, but if you read all your posts and what I and others have responded, and still think you're the rational one, then you are beyond debating with.
