But of course. We can’t have anyone honor anyone who is not liberal. We can’t acknowledge any achievements of anyone who is not a liberal icon. IN fact, we have to rewrite history and the history of what was going on with each of these people. That’s what liberals do.

At least it doesn’t look like they actually damaged the statues.

Next time they might.

The author of the article is really stretching the definition of deface.

1: to mar the appearance of : injure by effacing significant details
2: impair
3 obsolete : destroy

When I read the headline I was expecting some violent form of vandalism.

This is more akin to toilet papering someone's house.

Caution tape and a paper sign.

Non-violent civil disobedience is more likely the case here. Of course I am sure if conservative students were to do the same to Bubba Clinton's statue or Che's they would get nothing short of the death penalty.

freedom of speech means that you write an editorial voicing your opinion, or stand in the park and give a speech....it does NOT mean that you damage someone else’s property. Of course you can do that in secret like those proud isis combatants who cover their faces....cowards all.

$100 to 200k in student debt solely to get indoctrinated by the left. If I was college age today I would pass, absolutely. Actually knowing what I know now, I would have passed in the 1970s as well when I went because nothing in my degree has ever been of any use. Everything of use has been self taught. LOL! But this is exactly why government is infested with leftists today. They indoctrinate and graduate these kids and these kids find they can’t make it in the private sector because the indoctrination has caused them permanent brain damage, so they end up in government.

It also means you can't force others to listen to you.

Yes...

And they should be challenged to:

* A "Firingline" style debate in flavor of the W.F. Buckley days on PBS.
* Let them get a panel of 3, we will find 3 for our side.
* A stop watch, the warning lights, all the tools to make it a real debate, and broadcast it on local TV.
* Let them debate the records of those they decry against those that knew them personally, I'd love to see Larry Kudlow on the dais on our side for instance.
* Sell tickets, donate the $ to Cancer or Alzheimer's research.

* I don't think his health is up to it but Buckley's co-host although a liberal was a great moderator and that would be Michael Kinsley, I'd be fine with him on at the Moderator's Podium.

The problem is the moonbat's would disrupt this, and those that did this to the Statues probably wouldn't have the courage step in the arena of ideas and debate their thesis...

Deface a Martin Luther King or a Nelson Mandela bust or statue it would be a national story, and the media and lefty nutcases would be out there with torches and pitchforks demanding justice, fines, jail time, etc. Deface a conservative politici an or Christian no worries. Just a stern reprimand.

Not so sure. This is the school where talk show host Hugh Hewitt teaches and he often brags on the school. I assume these statues were on campus and how many schools anywhere in the US have statues to Reagan, Thatcher and Ian Rand?

I have no first hand knowledge of the school, but there seem to be some signs that it's not a typical, California bastion of leftist nitwittery.

Are these students possibly not acting on their own thinking but showing their indoctrination by a liberal professor?
