Of fully 40 different demographic subgroups measured, the only one in which more people think businesses should have that right than shouldn’t is Republicans. And even among Republicans, it’s only a plurality who say so. There were no clear majorities for the right to refuse service on religious grounds among any group tested.

Repeated claims of polls declaring that we want gay marriage don’t make law. If the majority is so large, get it on the ballot and decide it the right way.

Was it a telephone poll? If so, what kind of people are more likely to have land lines with listed numbers?
If a majority of those polled approved of involuntary servitude, would that make it OK?
Usual deception involved - the question did not match the real issues of the times.
The only people who should have the opportunity or responsibility for such a question, should be business owners themselves, not those uninterested in what it takes to maintain a business under the present oppressive business environment.
