Video at link.

Nothing unusual in the video, except Scott is driving a car with no proof of ownership or insurance.

The the BS about Scott running because he was afraid of the taser is crap. Slager was seated in his cruiser when Scott took off running.

Is there another country anywhere that is more obsessed with the way it treats career criminals?

As usual with events like this the truth is somewhere out there concealed under a rug and being sat on by the left.

Shooting people five times in the back for not having insurance would encourage more folks buy insurance.

It’s eerie to watch. There’s almost no indication of what’s about to happen moments later.

Also interesting are the lyrics of the song that just so happened to be playing when Mr. Scott was stopped and took off running.

So you feel it is a common occurrence for a man, pulled over for a routine traffic violation, to jump out of the car and run for no apparent reason?

The cop was being very polite and professional in what is seen on this video. The other one, well, not so much.

Just to make sure: If the cop did in fact drop the Taser on the ground by the body, he is guilty of a crime and should go to prison.

Between all of the videos of this incident that I’ve seen this individual was executed. This cop was not in fear for his life. As a person who the press seems to require a lot of training for a CCW license citing the Police requirements, this is an outrage. As a citizen this would be a no-brainer murder. All of the JBT supporters can pile on but this guy deserves his time in prison or more.

It looks like there was a passenger in the car. I did not see it mentioned anywhere.

Why does one run from a stop for a broken tail light? Warrants? Drugs?

The dash cam video shows a passenger seated in the Mercedes who never moved. Anyone hear what happened to that individual?

In any case, the police have the guy’s car and his buddy sitting in it. There is no need to even pursue him, they’ll find out soon enough who he is and get an arrest warrant. He’ll turn up sooner or later.

Apparently the new rule at Free Republic is that you can break any laws you want to, attack cops, try to take their weapons.... and all that is just fine if you can run away faster than the police at the end because if a copy shoots at you, you are just a pure victim of brutality.

That’s anarchy.

I think the cop did shoot too quickly and should face charges, but it was no cold-blooded or racially motivated murder. There was a chase, a scuffle, the video shows Scott grabbing at the taser and I’m sure the cop was terrified in those moments that Scott would gain control and harm him.... Scott was no innocent victim. Again some posters at Free Republic are marching arm-in-arm with Sharpton and Obama.
