I would have moved only if they upgraded me (and everyone traveling with me) at least one class.Otherwise,the radical moslem or Jew involved (IRRC the radicals of both religions have the same attitude on this) could go pound sand.

That sounds like a reasonable solution. If an upgrade is not available, then flight vouchers, frequent flier points or whatever else the woman can negotiate.

Unless the jackass had input "My religion requires that I not be seated next to a woman" or similar language in his profile when he bought the ticket, then it is his problem to deal with.

If he did so, then it is the airline's problem.

In no way should it be made the problem of another passenger.
