If Iran is to be bombed everything that makes life bearable should be bombed as well. Every mosque, airport, military base, police station, water treatment plant, power station, sewage treatment plant, bridge, radio station, cellphone tower, etc.

Iran wants nukes. We have them, they want them.
We have many delivery options available.

How many facilities can they have? My guess is the upper limit required for minimal efficiency is 100. We can take out 100 sites easy. Where are they?

Ill take his assessment over yours. Well, you go right on and do that...

Who gives a damn? They are currently united against us in the same way Nazi Germany was united against us, with one key difference - Nazi Germany never came close to completing its nuclear program. We invaded and occupied Nazi Germany, remember?
To: LaRueLaDue
Well, gee, if their government is still functional and tries to escalate, I would anticipate that we have contingency for that; namely decapitate the government. Make it disappear. Yeah right. Why didn't we think of that in Iraq or Afghanistan?

I’ve got plenty of time. Let er rip!

We no longer have the capability to do more than a light scratch to Iran. Mr. Cotton needs to get up to speed, now that we’re at “The End of History”, where military capability is no longer needed.

At the next level of response Iranian operatives abroad will carry out major acts of war - against the USA and against every other country that joins in. At the final level of response Iran will use the nukes that they have against pretty much anyone. Even "dirty bombs" can be used - and Iran has plenty of nuclear waste. All this will happen in any case regardless of what we do or don't do.

Before any nuclear sites are bombed Iran’s retaliation capability would have to be destroyed.
They have very silent DE submarines among other arms.
IMO Geo. Bush, in concert with Israel, should have taken care of Iran years ago.
The longer it’s put off the more difficult it becomes.

Iran is ALREADY the largest exporter of terrorism in the world ... maybe around 80% of the world’s terrorism. They don’t have much more room left, at the high level they’re at already.
If we’re talking about their troops and actually moving them into places where they have not already been invited, we can easily bomb their troops if they venture into foreign territory. If those troops stay within their borders, that’s fine.
If we’re talking about Iran venturing into the Persian Gulf and attacking other ships, we can easily wipe out all the ships they have in short order, leaving them with absolutely nothing and being able to do nothing in the Persian Gulf.
Iran won’t be able to do much about the USA attacking it, except fume and do what they’ve always done for several decades ... send out more terrorists.

I know what the USA is capable of, in regards to Iran, but I don’t think it will happen as long as Obama is in office!

I definitely think Israel is extremely limited in their capability and capacity, but I don’t think the USA is limited, in regards to it’s capability and capacity ... in regards to Iran.

Jimmah Cahtah ended the neutron bomb program. Was supposed to kill every living thing but leave all of the buildings intact. Radiation levels would be gone in 7 years. At least that’s how I recall it.
