At the Weather Channel, the heavy snow and bitter cold that swept the Northeast this winter was cause for celebration as its wall-to-wall coverage helped lift ratings to their highest level in years.
But none of that mattered in the spring, when Verizon Fios dropped the channel from its offerings to more than 5 million subscribers. In a letter to customers, Verizon said that people want to get their reports from the Internet and apps on their phones these days, not TV.

Yeah.
The reason is that HBO and Cinemax used to require separate additional monthly premium payments on your cable to satellite TV bill. I think Time Warner—who owns HBO—wants to combine to two into a lesser monthly premium payment just to keep the cord-cutters at bay.

Regime affiliate Comcast (also parent of MSNBC) bought Weather Channel to push the theology of Climate Change.
Since then, it’s constant propaganda.
The next few years will see the elimination of the arrogant monopolies known as cable companies. I can’t wait.
Not entirely with that idea, since it gets rid of the economies of scale. If it’s done like the airlines (which is very likely), the service will get worse.

Judging from TV shows no married man is ever caught running around with another woman now it is ALWAYS another man. That’s why I watch “Justified”, Boyd Crowder or Raylan Givens would only be caught with a woman.
