I saw his proclivity to toss money at education in Texas as a fix, to be way too Leftist for me. Generally money isn’t the problem. It’s the spending outside the classroom that is. Fix that, reallocate funds, and things fix themselves.
His support for amnesty was the last nail in his coffin for me. I will never support someone who wants ‘not an amnesty amnesty’.
