A tragic situation for sure, but I commend the young man who took care of his step children to the best of his ability. I didn’t see anywhere in the article what may have become of mama. Did she abandon them or did she pass away?
One would think that "to the best of his ability" would include paying the power bill.
No, they were HIS children.
However, I hear now his wife was screwing someone who was abusive to the kids, and she disappeared. Deadbeat. Apparently he took over.
Such a shame.
