Looks like the exact choices she made at 6 years old when rifling through her grammy’s costume jewelry drawer and playing dress-up. I guess she failed to grow up in many facets of life.

So, if I purchase an assault weapon for $500, I can get $2,000 for it from the government. Net profit: $1,500.But it's not really a cash return. It's a tax credit So if you owe the government say $3000 to begin with, AFTER you turn in your gun, you'll only owe them an additional $1,000.

There is no reason on earth, other than to kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible, that anyone needs a gun designed for a battlefield. Then why does every cop car in America have an AR-15?

It says only one per person, it’s pretty specific about that, but all your friends and neighbors would need a trash gun to get their tax break too.

I think I could make my old bolt-action .22 squirrel rifle look AWFUL MEAN for $2000!Folks, folks, folks! It's not $2,000 DOLLARS - it's $2,000 TAX CREDIT off your income level. That won't add up to much.
Otherwise, people would be stealing and/or running out and buying them at $500 a pop and selling for $1,500 profit.

The 2012 Republican Presidential nominee.
Mitt Romney.
These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.

Hmmm..$2,000 in tax credits? Maybe we should buy as many assault rifles as possible for say, $1,000, then turn them in and get $2,000 back. I'm going for profit margin. I'm buying 80% receivers at $100 each, in bulk. I can easily turn out one assault weapon per hour, since a 100% receiver is an "assault weapon", and I won't care about quality. At the end of a week, I should be able to buy a nice-quality arsenal for every neighbor worth arming, plus a generous supply of ammo.

What you’ve described is a “tax deduction”. A “tax credit” reduces the taxes you owe by that amount. e.g. Turn in your utility rifle and you would only owe $10,000 in taxes rather than $12,000.

Last time I checked, an assault rifle—which is a Class 3 weapon—sells for HELL of a lot more money than a paltry two thousand. Freaking brain-dead retards in Congress...

LOL.
The first thing I thought about when I read this is that the law of unintended consequences will be a real b*tch for Dems.
They do something intended to get weapons out of private hands. Instead they end up providing government financing for massive upgrades to personal arsenals, nation-wide.

She looks like Keith Richards’ ugly brother.
To: jazusamo
I guess the time to discuss this is when the average citizen can get their hands on an assault weapon.
I have a bastardized, neutered AR 15 that is a sad cousin to the M16 Assault weapon.
They cannot possibly be thinking of THAT as an assault weapon.

Democrats are evil and relentless. Their only redeeming feature is that they are stupid. I pray that their lack of foresight will give decent people time to get organized.
