Since 2008 more guns, ammo bought in US history. Has any country’s people in world history ever been so well-armed?
I just can’t see our military turning their guns on American citizens - their own family, neighbors, friends.

I noted this.....”America in 2015. It’s becoming a nation where an ‘elite that is certain of its power and its moral rightness’ is waging a cultural war on a despised minority. Except it’s not actually a minority – it only seems that way because it is ‘marginalized by the coastal elitist liberals who run the mainstream media’....

After talking to many of the locals here, the CW is not forgotten. Or I'd say, the punitiveness of the federal government afterward. Winning seemed (to me) to give the feds all the power and the states very little.
We have a flag pole at our new house, and a friend asked me what flag we will be putting up. Having just escaped Mexifornia, I was thinking not one from another country, no way! But she was thinking I'd put up a ‘southern’ one, as she put it. A confederate flag, I found out after questioning because she could have mean the Tn state flag. She's 76 and a little spitfire.
Feelings here are running hot, I think, under the politeness of southern charm.

Currently some states are having a hard time getting drug makers to provide the drugs needed to perform executions by lethal injections. By the "new standard" these drug providers should not be able to opt out of selling these drugs simply because they find these executions to be immoral.
Am I off base on this?

They would t be killing citizens. They will be killing drug dealers, weapons dealers, home grown terrorists, and any other label that’s convenient.
