If that rule were generally allowed to happen,
wed have a lot fewer not working.
Then we could determine who was truly needy
and who is just too lazy to lift his hand from his bowl to his mouth.
_____________
True enough!
I believe it is the individual within the local community who should decide who the truly needy are.
It is the federal government deciding for me and my community that is wrong; especially since the government is buying low info votes with our money.
Understandably, libs don’t like the idea of accountable charity.
Charities that truly help needy people will get donations.
But, since those donations are dependent on the reputation of the charity, they are going to make sure that the people most in need are getting the resources, and not some deadbeat.
If a charity becomes known for being wasteful,
giving out to people driving better cars
than those dropping off stuff, for instance,
then the charity will get less donations.
It’s that “invisible hand” that the left despises so much.
I believe it is the individual within the local community who should decide who the truly needy are.
That’s called “private charity” and it works!
