He certainly does not look any worse for wear.
Not only survived on rain water and raw fish - but did so during the months of January and February.
Back in my drinking days, I'd look a lot worse after a long weekend

“I really didn’t mean to start something here”

If you didn’t, someone else would have. As soon as I saw the name Louis Jordan, and reading that the guy had to live on fish, I thought of Saturday Night Fish Fry, which my local “progressive” FM station used to play once in a great while back in the 1970s.

Later I got to know a lot more of Louis Jordan’s material.

Did he lose all of his Firearms?

His captain’s log was lost in the water, along with his books, rice and most of his supplies.

Sure sounds like it!

FR’s value often comes from the crazy tangents the threads take.

So yeah, thanks for turning me on to Louis Jordan (On a story about a guy supposedly lost at sea!)

Louis Jordan played some fun music:

Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby?
Caldonia
Five Guys Named Mo
Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens
Ain't That Just Like A Woman
