Salesforce CEO: We're Helping Employees Move Out of Indiana
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said Wednesday that he is helping employees who are uncomfortable with Indiana's controversial religious freedom law to transfer out of the state.
The move is in response to a law signed last week by Indiana Gov. Mike Pence that allows businesses to refuse service to gay, lesbian and transgender people on religious grounds.
Benioff had already pledged to reduce his company's investments in Indiana, calling the law "brutal," "unfair" and "unjust." The cloud computing CEO said he is working with state officials in hopes of changing the statute.
Moving employees out of the state is a new step, however, and one of the most aggressive corporate actions taken in response to the new law.
Benioff told CNN's Poppy Harlow that several employees have asked for transfers -- and he has agreed, even supplying relocation packages.

But in the country we live in popular opinion ultimately rules the laws and the courts and that requires convincing arguments, and I see very few from our side on this.

Do you have any contact with Millenials? It’s a glimpse into the future of America. Their values will become America’s values. God is irrelevant to most of them imho. Porn is everywhere. Hooking up is no big deal. It’s harder to land good jobs so the men have less opportunity to marry and start a family. We took women out of the home and devalued many things that used to be laudatory. Such as fideltiy, hard work, raising children and delayed gratification. The current generation is the fruit of what has been sown.
Pence should form a committee to start convincing companies to leave CA, NY, CT and other bigoted states.
