To answer your question:

Reid is a devout and true Mormon, an exceptional Mormon according to his religion.

Where is an exceptional Mormon? I questioned members I know, they said that he’s NOT exceptional. So, you either assumed that he’s exceptional or have re-defined the term to suit your argument.

and: According to his religion? What does that mean? Of course, it’s deliberately pointless. I’m not going to dig through scripture but I doubt if bearing false witness is well in line with any religion other than Islam, or with the nutcases who believe they can be forgiven for anything.

As a Temple Mormon, having been formally examined by his religious leaders for his faith and commitment to his religion, Harry Reid has been officially certified as a Temple Mormon, a level of exceptionalism within the religion that requires I.D. and entitles him to enter the Temples and worship in them, and to be a part of the secret ceremonies in them.

A level within the religion that requires him to be reexamined every 2 years, and which only an estimated 155 of Mormons attain.

It is that exceptional, ask the Mormons that you know to show you their Temple Recommend identification, if they aren’t qualified, then they are clearly not exceptional Mormons, and they can’t go to the temples, and the secrets that Reid and Romney, and Beck, participate in, are kept from them.

Don’t be bearing false witness as you defend that anti-Christian religion.

Romney is more Mormon royalty than Reid (convert)

Do words actually mean anything to you?

Does context actually mean anything to you? Seriously...

Do you see the words above, "Romney is more Mormon royalty"??

Then you went and found everywhere on the planet where the word "royalty" is used to describe mankind's royal heritage from God and desperately tried to show they mean the same thing...

Do you really not understand the difference?

Here let me try to help, the first quote above is in the same "context" -I know, there's that word again- as it has been said that the Kennedy's are America's royalty.

We are all royalty because we are all children of our Heavenly Father.

A. Elevates an individual above the status of his peers.
B. Is a broad term meant to describe the divine nature of mankind.

There are no "Mormon royalty".

Now, I await your imminent distraction which I'm sure will be a shameless example of twisted logic that resembles a mangled pretzel.

Huh?
To have a TR, you just answer a few questions, AND tithe!
Reid is a mormon celeb, he will never lose his TR.

Again, you are stating your opinion and nothing else. I study religions. I already had knowledge about everything you argued and sought additional confirmation from others. You never validated your opinion, you just repeated it.

while on your errors...

As to your last line, you are incorrect. I never defended any religion. I criticized your invalid statements.

Good Advice. Thank you.

The conceited christians are a big PR problem for the conservative movement. Not very Christ-like.

I’m not giving opinion, those are the facts, which of those facts are you disputing?

Quit lying and be specific, point out a fact that you dispute and what you are claiming the truth is about the requirements of being a temple Mormon that I have wrong.

My gosh, you jump on the thread as a stalker to make your single post, a personal attack with nothing to do with the thread, or the topic.

and on a thread so long, that you do it at post 286 to 285, having skipped over everything before it.

You are a stalker.

You've confused me with the fella that started the religion you have chosen to believe in.

Can you just dig a little?

And EXPOSE this 'false-witness' stuff you've found?

...the 'planet' Kolob!

Every one of your dismissed QUOTES were from MORMON sources.

I have no idea on just WHY you feel you have to avoid the words of Mormon leaders and teachers.

Is there a memo I'm unaware of that has instructed those faithful Mormons to avoid anything Mormon in their posts and stress only the 'christian' aspects of LDSism?

To: Elsie; All
All I did was post actual MORMON scripture.

No Elsie, you posted two scriptures trying to show that they contradicted each other when in reality one complimented the other.

And you couldn't tell the difference.

While on the subject of contradictions... I'm totally confused by something and I just know you can help me sort this out.

You're a Wesleyan, as you've stated.

The official creed of the Wesleyan church says this:

17. The Sacraments: Baptism and the Lord's Supper

We believe that water baptism and the lord's Supper are the sacraments of the church commanded by Christ and ordained as a means of grace when received through faith. They are tokens of our profession of Christian faith and signs of God's gracious ministry toward us. By them, He works within us to quicken, strengthen, and confirm our faith. We believe that water baptism is a sacrament of the church, commanded by our Lord and administered to believers. It is a symbol of the new covenant of grace and signifies acceptance of the benefits of the atonement of Jesus Christ. By means of this sacrament. believers declare their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

Your church says straight out that baptism is a commandment by Christ Himself. I can respect that.

However....if you look into a little bit:

"Until recently, baptism has not been much of an emphasis of the Wesleyan Church. Most churches practice believer's baptism and have done it maybe once a year. You may find traces of individuals who have never been baptized or who were baptized as infants, but these are rare. Few if any would have any theology of baptismal regeneration and in practice, our sense of baptism as a sacrament has generally been somewhat weak."

"By far the majority of Wesleyans now practice believer's baptism, so much so that many would be surprised to know that it is still allowed to practice infant baptism in the Wesleyan Church. Nevertheless, my wife and I preferred for our children to be reckoned "in" the church and to have to leave it rather than to reckon them "out" until we could persuade them to come in. Dr. Bud Bence accordingly baptized our children in a Wesleyan Church."

"So basically, in practice we have moved toward the Baptists, although in our theology, we neither specify the method (immersion, sprinkling, or pouring) nor the timing (believer's or infant). For Wesleyans, baptism is a sacrament in which every believer should participate, but it is neither essential for salvation nor something whose particulars we should fight about."

"Were you baptized as an infant? You do not need to be re-baptized. If it would be significant for your spiritual pilgrimage, though, we will not stop you. Were you never baptized? You should very, very seriously consider it, although we will still call you a brother or sister if you choose not to."

--------------

Ok, so your church acknowledges that baptism is a commandment given by Christ. Commandment, not suggestion, or request...Commandment. You are commanded to do this--

But yet they don't really practice it. Aren't really sure how to do it. And your church members don't take it seriously.

From my point of view this falls into the category of:

Matt 15:
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

I'm curious to hear your explanation.

As apposed to your religion which has to rely on the voices in their heads because they've never heard the voice of God.

I'm curious to hear your explanation.

I'm sure you are.

But you really shouldn't worry about me, for your chosen religion says I'll be on Level Two; with MOST of you Mormon's for ETERNITY.

But as A MORMON; who is so worried about COMMANDS from GOD; what say ye about THIS?

"Now if any of you will deny the plurality of wives, and continue to do so, I promise that you will be damned;

and I will go still further and say, take this revelation, or any other revelation that the Lord has given,

and deny it in your feelings, and I promise that you will be damned.
